We are a small team dedicated to our mission. Our relationships coupled with our deep understanding of our communities and partners has allowed us to make a significant impact in a short period of time. We’re able to continue our focus in helping schools, health centers and refugee settlements in vulnerable communities through the generosity of our wonderful donors and passion of our volunteers.
OUR MISSION
We aim to assist communities that lack access to safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene education with sustainable solutions so they can thrive.
WHAT WE DO
$25 provides a filter that will give an Ugandan family safe water for over two years.
$83 covers the cost of providing clean water to a classroom of up to 50 students.
VOLUNTEER FOR SPOUTS IMPACT
SPOUTS Impact is a NGO that provides locally-produced household ceramic water filters (called “Purifaaya”) and hand washing stations to vulnerable communities, such as refugee settlements. The filters last for many years and eliminate all disease-causing organisms from the water, providing safe and clean drinking water.
For each installation, SPOUTS conducts extensive training with beneficiaries to ensure proper usage and maintenance, and works closely with local implementing partners to ensure that the work is sustainable and has as much impact as possible.
PURIFAAYA
SPOUTS distributes the Purifaaya ceramic water filter as an affordable, effective, sustainable, and easy to use solution for providing safe, water to Ugandans. In addition to the 20 liter Purifaaya, we also have the Purifaaya XL, which has a larger capacity and is perfect for institutions such as schools and health centers. The Purifaaya filters are produced by our social business partner, SPOUTS of Water LTD
HANDICLEAN
The HandiClean is a 100 L handwashing system conveniently operated by a foot pedal to maintain hygienic conditions. This new product was developed by our social business partner SPOUTS of Water LTD in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The HandiClean serves the communities in which we work, to stop the spread of this and other diseases, keeping people healthy and safe.

DOING OUR PART
The work of SPOUTS both directly and indirectly touches all of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) laid out by the the United Nations. Our greatest measurable direct impacts lie within SDGs six, twelve and thirteen. SPOUTS has a commitment to continually adapt and work towards a more sustainable world.
